Model & Acting Portfolio

are you ready to get noticed?

how it works

Model and acting agencies all have very specific requirements for what they are looking for in your submission.Remember, you are trying to make an impression on someone who has never met you. Having a strong portfolio is key to a great first impression.

Before your shoot, we will guide you through everything you will need to know on how to prepare for your shoot. We will cover everything from what to wear, other items you should bring, hair and makeup options, and answer any other questions you might have. We will also send you a questionnaire for you to fill out with your basic information such as measurements, age, height, weight, distinguishing features, etc.

On the day of the shoot, you will come to our studio in Bellingham where we will begin with the basic set of headshots that the agencies all require, and then move in to some more stylized poses for your comp card and portfolio.

Approximately one week after your shoot, you will return to the studio for the reveal of your images. You will choose 4-5 images for your comp card. (Not sure what a comp card is? See FAQ below).

Additional prints and products available for purchase.

Your pack of 25 comp cards along with any additional products purchased will be available for pickup within two weeks.

FAQs

Q: do you have a studio? where will my session be?

A: Yes, I have a beautiful studio located in the Squalicum Lofts in Bellingham. All of our model and acting portfolio shoots take place in studio.

Q: Do I need previous modeling experience?

A: Absolutely not! We have spent years photographing models and actors and know exactly what the various agencies are looking for. We will direct you through every pose and facial expression in order to get the very best images for you and your body type.

q: do I need professional hair and makeup before my shoot?

A: We will discuss hair and makeup options before your shoot, but for your basic headshots, agencies really want to see you as a blank canvas, so very minimal makeup is important. We offer hair and makeup services if you’d like to add them for your more stylized images.

Q: What should i wear? How many outfits do I bring? Will there be help with styling?

A: Not sure what to wear? No worries, we’re here to help! Before your shoot, we will go over all of the different clothing options that you should bring.

Girls, I do have a small studio wardrobe that you are welcome to pull pieces from to help complete your look.

Q: Do you help me submit my photos to agencies?

A: We do not submit your images for you, but we will will do our best to answer any questions you might have during the process.
